LET'S FEATURE... Arts Central

It's not surprising that the tag line for Arts Central on their website reads:

"ARTS ARE ESSENTIAL... NOT AN EXTRA!"

And we could not agree more! This is one of the many reasons we are so pleased that Arts Central has so generously donated to this year's Growing Dreams Auction at Ponderosa Elementary! It is a proven fact that a child who is educated in the arts, soars in many other areas of education.

Ponderosa families - are you familiar with Arts Central? Arts Central is a non-profit organization that has been serving our community since 1976! Arts Central is the only Art School in the region and also provides a residency program. Their services reach a 22,000 square foot region. This spans as far as Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook County. They serve as the largest advocate for arts and culture in our community reaching our schools and getting into at risk communities with services such as VanGo.

Arts Central strives to create age appropriate programs from birth to adult that are developmentally appropriate at all time. The goal here? Bringing innovation, exploration, new opportunities, and best of all... PLAY through various art forms! There are classes you can sign up for on their website and the fun never ends.

You can volunteer, take classes, or simply enjoy the exhibits that Arts Central has to offer. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed!

Being that Arts Central is a non-profit, they rely on donations from our community as well! Check out the website and consider giving a gift. Any small amount helps programs like this continue to thrive in our community.
